When you're as flawless as Adele, it's tough to imagine that she would be insecure about anything. But alas, it turns out she's human and worries about her body just like the rest of us.
During her SiriusXM Town Hall Monday, the "Hello" singer opened up about her body image issues and said that she "for sure" has them. The difference is, she doesn't let them get in the way of her life.
"I do have body image problems, but I don't let them rule my life at all," she said during her sit-down. "And there's bigger issues going on in the world than how I feel about myself and stuff like that."
When Adele first rose to fame, critics began to openly discuss her weight more than her raw talent. She opened up to Rolling Stone in 2011 about the mean comments that would try to bring her down. Fortunately, she was—and remains—stronger than that.
Preach, girl!
Adele also talked about her upcoming album, 25, and other music that she's into these days, including what makes her sad. Sure, we all might crank Adele on full blast when we're looking for a good cry, but the "Chasing Pavements" songstress turns to another artist when she needs to be moody.
"I try to listen to music that might uplift me a little bit, but I just don't really connect with it, and music for me is all about connection," she said during the Town Hall, before adding, "Mainly Jeff Buckley, I'd say and that's been my entire life I'd done that."
Nothing like a little "Hallelujah" (and it happens to have been the late Jeff Buckley's birthday today) to cue the tears.
