Lewiston Police said a man wasn't hurt Wednesday when he tried to burn his pant leg because he wanted to hem it in the 800 block of Main Street.
According to the Lewiston Police daily log, a man tried to hem his pants by burning them and not asking for scissors.
It happened around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday just outside the Wells Fargo bank in the 800 block of Main Street.
The caller reported seeing a young man "setting the bottom of his pant leg on fire," according to the brief.
Police responded and learned the man didn't get burned.
