Well ladies and gentlemen, the wait is finally over! Konvict Musik's new princess has released the official music video for his newest single, "Prom Night!", and let me be the first to say that it was well worth the wait! After announcing that the video would be coming out back in March, fans, including myself, have been anxiously awaiting its premiere. Star then confirmed the video would make its worldwide debut on Vevo, but weeks past and nothing. Seems Jeffree was tired of the wait because this afternoon the pink, spiked queen released the video himself on his YouTube channel and my eyes were glued to the screen for a good four minutes.
I have witnessed some of Star's previous visual efforts, and even though I enjoyed "Beauty Killer" and "Get Away With Murder", they just seemed to come off a bit amateur. The first thing that caught my eye with the "Prom Night!" video was the fact that it looked so sharp and clean. Star hired real professionals to work with him on this effort and it seriously paid off. Even though Star has now signed with a label, Akon's label, I feel he has not lost the unique quality that attracted me to him in the first place four years ago. The music video is filled with Star's crazy outfits and his signature "I don't give a f***" attitude, I was living for the entire thing. Jeffree has proved he will always be the queen of prom night just in time for prom season.
Jeffree starts off getting ready for his important night, seen in a revealing outfit when he steps into a limo and shown just having a good time throughout. I really wish I could have been part of the filming because it seems the fun came naturally. After screwing over the girl he seems to hate, Star must watch as she receives the title of prom queen. Any real bitch would not take that lightly. Star pulls out a shiny pink gun and politely shoots the king and queen dead. Did you really expect a Jeffree Star video to come and go without a little blood and controversy? Come on, you know him better than that. The video ends as a cute toddler in a tiara decides to kill everyone in the room with her own blowtorch. Hmm... surprising way to end a video fans were waiting months for. Anyway, the music video is here now so watch below and let me know what you think. Perfection? I think so.
