arriving down on friday for a very stylish last minute summer holiday. well, a weekend. i have so far stuffed myself with the best food, enjoyed the sunshine, gone for long beach walks, then the best part of the weekend happened.
PIMMS.
i am a pimms devotee. having gotten hooked on it one summer in London I can't help myself. i love the stuff.
so picture the scene.
a late summer bbq in beautiful weather. chicken roasted on skewers in honey and soy sauce. salad, sauces, beef and roasted peppers and aubergines. homegrown veg from the garden. it was a feast and i loved it.
sitting on the table was my contribution as a former barmaid. some beautifully made pimms. in a jug with lemon, orange, strawberry, blueberries and limes. over ice. with lemonade. it was amazing.
I have got to do this again sometime!
